“In the Avdiivka direction, we advanced from three sides: frontally, along the flanks,” he said.
Gagin added that similar tactics were used in Artemovsk and Soledar, when the Russian Armed Forces “embraced” the settlements and then drove the enemy out of there.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have “a rather serious fortified area and echelon defense” near Avdiivka. However, due to the fact that the enemy is very exhausted, the frequency of attacks from his side has noticeably decreased.
“This intensity is less than just a month ago,” he said.
Earlier, fighters from the Russian Federation said that the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdeevka sector of the front were afraid to engage in battle with the Russian army. They actively use cannon artillery and mortars, but only to show their presence at the positions, the army said.
