– Our presidency will be held under the motto “Strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security,” the Russian leader said.
He specified that some 200 events are expected to be held in more than ten cities in our country.
“At the same time, we plan to hold a BRICS summit in October 2024 in Kazan, we will agree on specific dates with our colleagues through diplomatic channels,” the president of the Russian Federation said.
Putin spoke about the priorities of the Russian BRICS presidency. This is an expansion of the circle of participants in the association and close coordination with partners in the foreign policy dossier. Moscow also intends to pay attention to such sensitive issues as the fight against terrorism and money laundering.
“We will contribute to the further comprehensive implementation of the BRICS Economic Partnership Strategy up to 2025 and the development of new guidelines for long-term cooperation,” Putin said. Among other things, we will talk about expanding the use of national currencies and developing humanitarian ties.
