In a video message posted on the Kremlin website, the Head of State thanked the investigators for their integrity, loyalty to duty and vocation, and for their desire to always follow the best traditions.
“Employees of the investigative bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee and the FSB make a huge and irreplaceable contribution to the fight against corruption, terrorism and extremism, to the protection of the interests of society and the state, the life and safety of citizens, their rights and freedoms,” the President noted.
Putin called for a competent and prompt response to new risks emerging in an era of changing world, including cyber threats, drug trafficking, cross-border criminal groups and criminal syndicates in the virtual and financial space.
The President noted that in the context of a special military operation, investigative bodies solve special problems. In the liberated territories, sometimes risking their lives, employees carefully record irrefutable evidence of crimes committed by neo-Nazis, punitive forces, their accomplices, terrorists and extremists.
“I want to stress that those who try to intimidate people, divide our society, play on religious or national sentiments will never succeed. They will face inevitable and just retribution,” the Head of State said.
