In addition, the president noted, the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system is effectively used in the area of the Northern Military District. Tests of the Burevestnik cruise missile and the Poseidon system are also being completed.
The Sarmat strategic missile system, according to the president, was also delivered to the troops and will soon be demonstrated in combat service.
“The first deliveries of Sarmat complexes have been made. We will soon demonstrate them in combat service,” Vladimir Putin said.
The head of state added that Russia’s most modern weapons systems have generally confirmed their high and unique characteristics. “Work on new weapons will continue and people will soon hear about them,” Putin said.
Russia’s opponents, the Russian leader noted, must understand that we have weapons capable of hitting targets on their territory.
