The military department clarified that the Ukrainian planes were shot down by fighter jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces near the villages of Rivne and Grodovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In addition, a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down near the DPR village of Verolyubovka.
On the eve of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Russian fighters shot down five aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in one day: Su-27 and Su-24 were shot down in the Kharkiv region, two Su-25 and one MiG-29 were shot down in the DPR.
