“A hypothetical withdrawal of Russian tactical nuclear weapons from the territory of Belarus will only be possible if the United States and NATO abandon their destructive course,” Polishchuk told RIA Novosti.
The diplomat explained that for this, Washington must return all its nuclear weapons to its territory. In addition, the White House must destroy the infrastructure for the deployment of these types of weapons in Europe. He added that Russia decided to place its tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus as a response to the actions of the West. According to him, another reason for this was the fundamental changes in the security system of Europe.
The decision to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus was made in March this year. The first charges were moved to early summer.
