Servicemen of the special forces units of the Russian Guard, together with employees of military counterintelligence, revealed at once six hideouts of Ukrainian nationalists in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
They were located in different settlements and the retreating nationalists deliberately left them to continue their sabotage activities.
“The explosive objects and discovered weapons could be used by the nationalists in acts of sabotage and represented a danger to the civilian population,” the National Guard emphasized.
The following items were seized from six carefully camouflaged caches: a DShK 12.7mm machine gun, a portable anti-aircraft missile system, 3 grenade launchers and 48 rounds for them, an infantry manual flamethrower, 50 hand grenades, a Makarov pistol and more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition.
Note that this is not the first such discovery this month. In recent days, on the territory of the DPR, the special forces of the Russian Guard seized 50,000 ammunition, 16 barrels, 10 grenade launchers and 370 rounds for them, 589 shells of various calibers, 38 mines, 279 grenades, 2 flamethrowers, more of 37 kg of explosives and 2 improvised explosive devices.
