A Russian military delegation led by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has arrived in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
– At the Sunan International Airport (a suburb of Pyongyang) an official meeting ceremony of the Russian delegation was held with the participation of the honor guard company of the Korean People’s Army. On the gangway of the plane, DPRK Defense Minister Army General Kang Sun Nam welcomed the head of the Russian defense department, the military department said in a statement.

From July 25 to 27, a Russian Defense Ministry delegation will visit various ceremonial events in Korea dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Korean people’s victory in the 1950-1953 Patriotic Liberation War.
The military department noted that “this visit will help strengthen military ties between Russia and North Korea and will become an important stage in the development of cooperation between the two countries.”
Let’s remember that the last Korean War was provoked by South Korean troops under the auspices of the United States. The Americans dreamed of transferring the armed forces liberated after the Great Patriotic War to South Korea under the pretext of “disarming the Japanese army.”
