An international conference is currently taking place, where Russian doctors share their experience in modern otosurgery with colleagues from 17 different countries.
From July 5 to 9, the National Medical Research Center for Otolaryngology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (NMICO FMBA) hosts a major international scientific and practical conference dedicated to modern otosurgery and skull base surgery.
As Veronika Skvortsova, director of FMBA Russia, noted, “NMICO is the country’s leading specialized institution and one of the world leaders in the industry. Our specialists not only successfully master the most advanced medical areas (laser medicine, genetic engineering therapy, cochlear implant, and hearing and speech rehabilitation), but also contribute significantly to solving various problems facing the world of otolaryngology today. ”.
Director of the Center, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Nikolai Daikhes noted that the interdisciplinary approach used by the Center’s team of leading surgeons makes it possible to perform all kinds of microsurgery to improve hearing, reconstructive operations -repairing and sanitizing in a single intervention.
As part of the four-day conference, several master classes, seminars and “live surgery” with live broadcasts from the operating room have already been held. In addition to advanced training courses in modern otosurgery under the direction of the Deputy Director of International Activities, Chief Scientific Specialist, NMICO Scientific and Clinical Department of Ear and Skull Base Pathology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Diab Hassan Mohamad Ali.
Leading experts from 17 countries are participating in the conference in person or online: China, Turkey, India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, France.
For the first time in Russia, the event will be held with the participation of representatives of the International Federation of Otolaryngology Societies and the Eurasian Academy of Otolaryngology.
