Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reached the Wimbledon semifinals for the first time in his career. In the quarterfinal game, Medvedev defeated American Christopher Eubanks. The tennis players played five sets, ending with the score 6:4, 1:6, 4:6, 7:6 (7:4), 6:1. This was reported by TASS.
Now Medvedev will have to face off on the field with the winner of the match between the Spanish Carlos Alcaras and the Danish Holger Rune. It should be released on July 12.
Medvedev remains the only Russian representative at Wimbledon in 2023. Previously, Andrei Rublev and Roman Safiullin withdrew from the fight. The women were also unable to continue the fight – Vera Zvonareva lost the quarterfinal match.
