On Sunday night in Salt Lake City the UFC 291 mixed martial arts tournament took place.
In one of the fights on the main card, the Russian middleweight fighter Roman Kopylov entered the octagon, who was going to fight Claudio Ribeiro from Brazil.
In the first round, the rivals fought mercilessly, exchanging powerful blows. And early in the second five-minute period, Kopylov kicked out to the jaw area and the Brazilian crumpled to the canvas. The referee stopped the fight and recorded Kopylov’s victory by knockout.
For the Russian, this victory was the third in a row in the UFC and the 11th in his career.
After the fight, Kopylov challenged one of the brightest fighters in this weight class, American Sean Strickland.
