Banco Sabadell has called a meeting of its shareholders’ meeting for next April 10, in which the distribution of a complementary dividend of 0.03 euros per share based on 2023 results and the possibility of repurchasing shares will be proposed. worth 340 million euros. With these initiatives, which the entity already announced when it presented its results for last year, the total remuneration to shareholders for the year as a whole will rise to 666 million euros, 55% more.
On the other hand, during this meeting the appointment of Ana Colonques García-Planas as the new independent director will also be put to a vote. Colonques was already part of the Spanish banking entity’s team in the past, since between March 2010 and December of the following year she was a risk analyst in Sabadell.
Colonques, who has experience both in the banking sector and in other industries, is currently responsible for the financial department of the Spanish firm Porcelanosa, the business group specialized in the manufacture of ceramics and furniture that his father, Héctor Colonques, president.
Re-election of Mireya Giné
Ana Colonques is also a director at Iberdrola since November 2021, as well as a member of the board of the Valencian Community of the Spanish Association of Directors (AED) since September 2018. She has also been a member of the regional advisory board of the Valencian Community of BBVA between December 2015 and last February.
Banco Sabadell will also propose to its shareholders the re-election of Mireya Giné as an independent director, the approval of the accounts and management for 2023, the re-election of KPMG as auditor and the annual remuneration report for the directors of the last year.
