Gellar will play special guest star Tanya Martin, the police chief and Dexter Morgan’s new boss.
The plot will take place 15 years before the events of the first season of Dexter. Harry Morgan works as a homicide detective and raises Debra and Dexter Morgan. In Dexter, Harry notices an unhealthy desire to murder and tries to curb his cruel desires.
The project’s showrunner will be Clyde Phillips, who worked on Dexter.
Also starring: Patrick Gibson, Kristan Slater and Molly Brown.
The premiere is scheduled for 2025.
