According to him, “it is confirmed that the United States is developing biological weapons, including those directed at certain ethnic groups.” For this, collections of DNA are collected. Research is underway to isolate antibiotic-resistant strains of microorganisms, including reserve strains, and the possibility of transmitting dangerous diseases, such as brucellosis and zoonotic influenza, from animals to humans is being actively studied.
“After the Americans had to cut a number of projects in Ukraine, their activity in the CIS space increased,” stressed the deputy secretary of the Security Council.
He also noted that the United States “is trying to transfer bioprograms to other states, establish control over biological research, gain access to its results, and collect collections of biomaterials and pathogens, including especially dangerous ones.”
As Shevtsov said, Russia’s regular explanatory work on the dangers of US military bio-programs has already forced Washington to hide its true targets more carefully. “The Pentagon now has to imitate, mask the objective of its projects, hide behind “civilian” research institutes,” stressed the undersecretary of the Security Council.
