The complaints did not dispute the fact of the crime, but raised the question of the severity of the punishment and the amount of moral damage awarded to the victims.

Subsequently, the court found the organizer of the trip guilty under part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in the death of more than two people due to negligence).
When considering the complaint, the court decided to reduce the amount of compensation for moral damage. Otherwise, the sentence handed down by the previous instance was maintained. The man must spend four years in a general regime colony. The verdict came into force.
