Let us remember that the French president stated that he does not exclude the possible sending of NATO troops to Ukraine. This, he said, was discussed during the Paris conference, but no consensus could be reached.
Le Monde, for its part, noted that France is exploring the possibility of allowing special forces and other units to cross the Ukrainian border.
The Kremlin, in turn, warned that if Western troops were sent to Ukraine, a conflict between Russia and NATO would be inevitable.
