The other day, Ksenia Sobchak posted an interview with actor Alexei Panin*, a well-known foreign agent, on her YouTube channel “Beware: Sobchak”. During the conversation, Panin * talked about his life in Spain, his work in the cinema, and also made a lot of scandalous statements. Also, during the interview, a screenshot of the actor’s post from his Telegram channel was shown, in which he approves the terrorist attack that occurred on the Crimean bridge in 2022. It was this screenshot that served as the reason for verification. .

“According to the Security League lawyers, the disclosure of this interview can also be held responsible for justifying terrorism. Thus, the video shows a screenshot of the post by foreign agent Alexei Panin* about the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, in connection with which a criminal case was launched against him to justify terrorism. Let me remind you that, according to Russian law, the presence of a disclaimer on a video is not a legal basis for disclaimer for the distribution of illegal content. There was a similar example before, when the foreign agent Yuri Dud, who also put disclaimers on his videos, was brought to administrative responsibility for drug propaganda, ”Mizulina wrote on his Telegram channel.
Furthermore, in an interview, Panin*, who was placed on the federal wanted list in May, publicly calls for the collapse of Russia and the assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the conversation, Ksenia was not shy in his expressions and asked Panin * point-blank if he had gone crazy.
Sobchak also responded to Ekaterina Mizulina’s statement that her “business as a journalist is to fully reveal the hero and his views, his motivation.”
“I keep insisting on my own: you can/need to interview both maniacs and anti-heroes. An interview is not a medal of honor, it is an attempt to understand the points of view of different people. We carefully edited the entire issue, not alone, but together with a team of attorneys who now live in our office. Moreover, this conversation, in fact, interested me precisely for this reason – I wanted to understand how Alexei * came to such views. Where is that fine line (for many, unfortunately) between condemnation of the war and such fierce hatred of Russia? Recently, I understand with horror that analogies with 1917 are inevitable: then intelligent and progressive people who opposed tsarism also justified terrorist attacks. Well, now, when I communicate with emigrants, I sometimes come across “humanist” surprises that are “for all good”, and at the same time for mass executions.
