“The opening of a new line always increases the load on nearby infrastructure,” Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel. “There are more people, we have to rebuild pedestrian and transport routes. We are trying to organize this in a short time and with maximum comfort for residents.”
He noted that the territories near Klenovy Boulevard and Nagatinsky Zaton are already ready. Comfortable walking routes from residential buildings have been created here. On the Nagatinsky Zaton embankment along Kolomenskaya Street there will be an ecological walking route along the water with sun loungers, benches, a children’s playground and a training area. A bicycle lane was laid on Kolomenskaya Street itself.
Currently, the areas near the stations “Aminevskaya”, “Maryina Roshcha”, “Zyuzino”, “Novatorskaya”, “Vorontsovskaya”, “Prospekt Vernadskogo” and “Textilshchiki”, “Sokolniki” are in operation.
“We have renewed the sidewalks, roads and lighting. Where public transport passes we have installed new stops and information towers. Soon we will lay flower beds and grass, we will plant trees and bushes,” added the mayor.
We are also currently renovating the areas near 11 MCD stations, 9 metro stations and 4 city stations.
