According to the press service of the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office, in April 2022, a citizen of Mariupol received a convoy of military equipment and military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces.
Dmitry Moscow, a serviceman with the 109th Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was at the time in an observation position in a house on Morskoy Boulevard. He saw an unarmed elderly pensioner salute the Russian army and shot him. According to the investigation, out of hatred, Moscow fired at least ten shots from a machine gun.
The Ukrainian military Armed Forces have been charged with hate-motivated murder and political and ideological enmity, as well as ill-treatment of the civilian population.
The criminal case with the approved accusation was sent to the Supreme Court of Justice of the People’s Democratic Republic for consideration on the merits.
