Netflix showed the first trailer for Spy Kids: Armageddon and revealed the release date. The film will be released on September 22. Like the original series, the reboot’s plot will center on the daughter and son of special agents. They accidentally help a powerful game developer create a virus that will allow him to control all modern technology.
In order to save their parents and the whole world, the main characters must become spies. The roles of the children were played by aspiring actors Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson, while the parents were played by Zachary Levi and Gina Rodríguez. Robert Rodríguez returned to the director’s chair, writing the script with his son’s Racer.
The fact that Netflix is preparing a reboot of Spy Kids became known in March 2022. Filming for the new picture was completed last September.
Netflix previously released the trailer for the mini-documentary series Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop. It will premiere on streaming on August 9. The creators of the project promised to show “the history of music that changed the world in a broad social, racial and political landscape, and most importantly, through a female lens.”
