As the company said, this is one of the largest and most prestigious programming competitions in the world. These are teams of three people: in a limited time and under the pressure of competition, they must solve the greatest number of problems about the efficiency of algorithms in terms of speed.
The championship took place in Egypt and ended on Friday. The students of the Faculty of Informatics became the absolute winners of the 47th final and in the 46th final they received the gold medal. The team solved almost all the tasks on the first try.
And among Russian universities, the MIPT team performed well: it took third place in the 47th final and fifth place in the 46th final.
Previously it became known that MIPT began accepting applications for a master’s degree in data science, the tuition for which is paid by Avito as part of training in the field of AI.
