As Ukrainian media note, Sukharevsky is called the man who fired the “first shot” from the Ukrainian side in Donbass in 2014.

“Hromadske” writes that we are talking about April 13, 2014. Then Sukharevsky commanded the 3rd company of the 80th airmobile brigade. The unit was stationed in the vicinity of Slavyansk.

According to journalists, Sukharevsky ordered to open fire on a detachment of militiamen, despite the order of the brigade commander not to open fire.
