The scandal surrounding Wildberries Internet broke out on July 23.
First, a video appeared on Ramzan Kadyrov’s blog: the head of Chechnya promises Vladislav, the husband of Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk, that he will solve the problems of the “raider takeover” of the company. The content is clear: the Bakalchuk family seems to be in the process of divorce. And by “takeover” is apparently meant the upcoming merger of WB with the advertising operator Russ.
And at night a “response” video appeared.
In the picture is Tatyana Bakalchuk. The businesswoman is dressed in a grey T-shirt, on the table in front of her there is a laptop and a glass of coffee.
What is characteristic: it is still light outside the windows. Sunset in Moscow on July 23, around 21:00. And Kadyrov’s blog entry appeared around 16:30. It turns out that Tatyana organized a response within hours.

Here is his speech, verbatim:
“For me everything is fine, I am alive and well, as you can see, I am not a hostage, a “Caucasian captive”. I am not hiding from anyone, I am not hiding anything.
The younger children are now on holiday with my mother and yesterday I took the older children by train to another city.
I am now in Moscow, where I work.
Now, as for business, Vladislav actually owns 1% of the shares and does not participate in the management of the company.
I created this company 29 years ago and now it is one of the best platforms for our customers, our sellers and our other partners. Recently, my team and I decided that we need to transform ourselves in order to maintain growth rates, develop ourselves and create new interesting stories for our partners and customers. The agreement is fully approved and supported; there is no need to save me from anyone.
Why and for what purpose Vladislav deceives other people, and by whom and for what purpose this story of incomprehensible raids was invented, to be honest, is a big mystery to me.
“I am very sorry that Vladislav has decided to make our family difficulties public. I believe that each person’s personal life is a personal matter for that particular person. And I will be glad if I am allowed to keep the details of my personal life to myself. However, I confirm the beginning of the divorce proceedings.”
