The American singer Taylor Swift entered Forbes magazine’s list of billionaires this Tuesday thanks to her fortune valued at 1.1 billion dollars (about 1.021 million euros). According to the American business publication, Swift’s milestone is unique as she “became a billionaire thanks strictly to income from her music and her performances.”
The singer, originally from Pennsylvania, USA, joined the list as one of the 141 new billionaires compared to the previous year’s record, and her name is now alongside recognized business figures such as the Frenchman Bernard Arnault, who occupies the first place; Elon Musk, in the second, or Jeff Bezos, in the third.
According to Forbes, this year “there are more billionaires than ever”, with a total of 2,781, thus surpassing the record of 2021 when 2,755 billionaires were counted.
Las Eras Tour: a golden tour
Much of Swift’s fortune is due to the success of her ‘The Eras Tour’, which began in March 2023 and is scheduled to conclude in December of this year.
