“He is suing the state because he has been in extreme isolation for 11 years and has had no contact with anyone other than the guards,” said Breivik’s lawyer, Øystein Storrvik.
According to the lawyer, the lawsuit can be considered in the spring of 2024.
Breivik had previously appealed to the court with complaints about alleged violations of his human rights by prison conditions, but the Norwegian Court of Appeal did not uphold the decision of the lower court, which recognized the validity of Breivik’s complaints.
Breivik had previously applied for early release, but the court rejected his request.
