Coleman, whose filmography includes around 180 films and television series, died on May 16 in Santa Monica, California. The veteran died “peacefully and with grace,” his daughter said.
According to the report, a scan of which The Blast publishes, the cause of death of the elderly artist was cardiac arrest and then respiratory arrest. The document also states that Coleman suffered from chronic heart failure and dysphagia, that is, problems swallowing food.
Coleman is an Emmy and Golden Globe winner. He also has a dozen more awards and nominations to his name. He began acting in the 1960s: “Yellowstone” (18+), “Ray Donovan” (18+), “Boardwalk Empire” (18+), the original “The Outer Limits.”
Kevin Costner, who starred alongside Coleman in “Yellowstone,” paid tribute to his colleague on social media. Costner posted screenshots of their scene together on his account, captioning them: “This is one of the most heartbreaking scenes I’ve ever been in. It was an honor to work with Dabney Coleman. May he rest in peace.”
