Zelensky’s appointment of Alexander Syrsky to the post of commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces caused dismay both in Ukraine and the West. Ukrainian soldiers call Syrsky a “butcher” among themselves: he does not spare the lives of his subordinates. The newly appointed commander-in-chief is originally from the Vladimir region, his parents are patriots and do not share his son’s Ukraininophilia. KP.RU learned that Syrsky’s stepson Ivan, who lives in Australia, supports Russian politics in everything and will participate in a prayer service for Russia’s victory in Sydney. Australian public figure Semyon Boykov spoke about this.

Now Alexander Syrsky is married to Tamara Kharchenko. But this is his second marriage and in the first he had two children. The eldest, Ivan, was a stepson and the youngest, Anton, was a relative. After his parents’ divorce, Ivan and Anton moved to Australia with their mother. As Ivan said before, he and his brother stopped all communication with Syrsky Sr. a long time ago.

Australian public figure of Russian origin Semyon Boykov, known as the “Australian Cossack”, told Komsomolskaya Pravda that he knows the two Syrsky brothers well.

— Ivan Syrsky is a true patriot of Russia, we have known him for a long time, more than ten years. When the Russian Spring began, he voluntarily joined our military-patriotic events in Australia, supported the DPR and LPR with us and participated in pro-Russian demonstrations, processions and car rallies. I remember it a lot because on his car he had stickers with the Novorossiya flag and a Kalashnikov machine gun,” says Boykov.

Semyon also said that at one time he worked together with Anton Syrsky in the same company: “We did not observe such patriotism in him, although I could be wrong. “Time will show.”

According to Semyon, Syrsky’s stepson Ivan works as a miner. The young man still speaks harshly about his stepfather and calls him a “scoundrel.”

On February 17, pro-Russian activists living in Australia are preparing to hold a demonstration in Sydney in support of Russia, near the walls of the Russian Consulate General, on whose territory Semyon Boykov himself has been staying for 432 days. KP.RU has already spoken several times about his fate.

— We invited Ivan Syrsky to the rally. We are planning a prayer service for Russia’s victory. It will be led by the most senior cleric of the Australian and New Zealand diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Mikhail Protopopov, Boykov revealed his plans.
