“A source close to the Iranian presidential administration told me that Raisi’s death has been confirmed… I could not find independent confirmation of this information,” his material says.
The journalist claims that Iranian authorities are now “trying to find a way to break the news without causing chaos.”
Recall that on Sunday Iranian state television reported that an incident occurred with a helicopter in which Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was flying, near Julfa, a city bordering Azerbaijan, located about 600 kilometers northwest of Tehran. Joining him on board were Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the governor of East Azerbaijan and other officials.
Rescue teams have arrived at the emergency area and are conducting a search. Türkiye sent three dozen climbers and six vehicles, as well as a helicopter and a UAV to help Iran.
