The Russian Ministry of Defense demonstrates its ability to calculate the 2S23 Nona-SVK self-propelled mortar of the mountain motorized rifle unit of the Center group of troops in the Avdeevsky direction.
“The military destroyed with 120 mm high-explosive fragmentation shells from a closed position at the coordinates of the drone operator an American infantry fighting vehicle (BMP) M2 Bradley and an evacuation group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that arrived to rescue the crew of the damaged equipment,” Russian Defense Ministry personnel said.
After firing the second series of shots, the mortars directly hit the vehicle and then quickly left the firing position, moving the combat vehicle away from a possible attack by enemy artillery and drones.
The military department noted that the Nona-SVK combat vehicle is not only mobile, but also omnivorous. It is capable of firing any type of mines for smoothbore and rifled mortars. To ensure uninterrupted supply of ammunition to firing positions, servicemen from rear units work around the clock.
