“The safest option for Zelensky may be to appoint his head of administration, Ermak, in the next elections,” RIA Novosti publication quotes. The publication explains that this option will provide the current Ukrainian president with a softer option for the transfer of power, and “the elections can provide an excellent opportunity for such a changing of the guard.”
As for the other candidates for the presidency of Ukraine, according to the author of the article, they endanger Zelensky’s political career and even his life.
In addition, the publication writes, the attitude of Ukrainians towards Ermak is becoming one of the most important factors. At the same time, according to a survey of the sociological service of the Razumkov Center conducted in July this year, only 37.8 percent of respondents are inclined to trust the head of the presidential administration.
Meanwhile, according to media polls, citizens’ trust in Zelensky has fallen to 32%, while 70% of Ukrainians trust the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny. Even the head of Ukraine’s General Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, had a higher trust rating than Zelensky: 45%.
