According to him, the assault units of the group continue their offensive near the village of Olshana. In the Petropavlovka and Novoselovsky area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made six counterattack attempts by units of the 14th, 115th and 67th separate mechanized brigades.
“All attacks were repelled by preventive artillery fire, the enemy’s losses amounted to more than 40 servicemen,” Yakimkin said.
He added that the group’s aviation inflicted more than ten strikes on the tactical reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defense units. One of the enemy targets is hit with a heavy flamethrower system.
Near the village of Pesochnaya and Shevtsov Yar, during the fighting against the battery, the Russian army defeated two self-propelled artillery installations M109 “Paladin”, and near Krakhmalny and Tabaevka destroyed two mortar teams.
