Voting for the 19th edition of the national literary award “El Libro Grande” has started on the website of the book recommendation service LiveLib. Everyone will be able to see the works of the finalists and vote for their favourite until October 30.
The list of contenders included fourteen works: “Flegont, Fevrusa and Others” by Vasily Aksenov, “Midnight Office” by Nadya Alekseeva, “Uranotype” by Vladimir Berezin, “The Shop is Open Before Dark” by Daria Bobyleva, “Tunnel” by Yana Vagner, “Odsun” by Alexey Varlamov, “Clouds of Change” by Andrey Volos, “The True Life of Denis Korablev” by Denis Dragunsky, “Ulan Dalai” by Natalia Ilishkina, “Dogs and Other People” by Zakhar Prilepin, “The 42nd Poste Restante” by Mikhail Tarkovsky, “My Life: Before Exile” by Mikhail Shemyakin, “Sustainable Development” by Mrshavko Shtapich and “Batyushkov is not sick” by Gleb Shulpyakov.
“The reader voting for the Big Book Award on LiveLib is always an honest story. Last year more than 5,400 people participated. Regardless of what the professional jury decides, readers vote out of love, as their hearts tell them.
