The U9 supercar from the Yangwang brand debuted on the Geneva stage. It became the second model of the brand created by BYD for models that impress in all aspects. In this case, what impresses are the features, but the fact that the Chinese company believed in itself and launched a niche product at a very high price.

The U9 is equipped with a four-motor power plant: one for each wheel. The total power is 1,305 HP. and 1680 Nm. The maximum speed is 309 km/h, the supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds.

We are used to this type of car depending on a high-capacity battery, but in the case of the Yangwang U9 it only has 80 kWh on board, enough for a range of 465 km. The question is the design of the Blade (translated from English as blade) and the type: the battery is lithium iron phosphate and, by the way, it is not light – 633 kg. It should be noted that the battery can be charged from two terminals simultaneously, and ten minutes are enough to recharge the energy from 30 to 80%.

Long before this show, the Yangwang U9 was nicknamed “dancing supercar” on the Internet. Each wheel is equipped with a shock absorber with a hydraulic pump, ensuring independent control. From the outside, when the patented DiSus-X suspension is in operation, the car may appear to be dancing. Porsche has similar advancements, as does Chinese startup Nio. The latter quite impressively demonstrated the capabilities of a similar suspension.

Customers will not be able to try the new product before the middle of the year. Those who wish to purchase U9 will have to make a non-refundable (!) deposit of 300 thousand yuan. The price of the supercar is 1,680,000 yuan (21.5 million rubles).
