Valeria and Artem Chekalin are famous bloggers and the first information entrepreneurs to undergo a tax audit. While the process was taking place, the parents of many children remained under house arrest. In the end, everything ended well for them: the couple paid off a debt of 504 million rubles and avoided imprisonment.

But after all restrictions on the Chekalins were lifted, it turned out that there was discord in the family. During their long stay under the same roof, Artem and Valeria, paradoxical as it may seem, moved away from each other. In March, Lerchek filed for divorce, but until yesterday he did not comment on the situation. The day before, Valeria, with tears in her eyes, declared that all of this was true and that no psychologist had helped them. The blogger also told her subscribers that she would sell her unfinished house and that her stake in the cosmetics company would be divided equally.

A closed-door court hearing regarding the star couple’s divorce took place on April 12. The spouses themselves did not appear, but sent their lawyers. Valeria’s defender refused to comment on anything with journalists and hid from the cameras in a very strange way.

Lawyer Yana Teplyakova told the KP.RU website that she is now waiting for the once happy big Chekalin family.

“Since Valeria and Artem have children, only the court can divorce them. The case is considered by the judicial district magistrate. This means that the application is only for divorce. If there were claims for division of common property or disputes over children and the payment of alimony, then this case would be heard in the district court. It can be assumed that the Chekalins now have no disagreements over the division of property and children.

The parties may attend the meeting personally or act through their representatives, granting them the corresponding power to represent their interests before the courts. To begin with, the court convenes a conversation during which, without judicial protocol, it finds out the opinions of the parties on the established requirements, indicates the need to present some document, etc. According to the court file, the conversation took place on March 25. In case of divorce, the courts give the parties time for reconciliation, usually from one to three months,” Teplyakova said in conversation with KP.RU.

He added that Valeria Chekalina’s lawyer did not communicate with the press because the ethics of lawyers and the law on the activity of lawyers oblige representatives of the parties to keep secrets.

“In addition, the client can also give similar instructions. It is quite possible that the couple has nothing to tell at the moment, or that there is still a chance to reconcile and save the marriage,” Yana Teplyakova summarized.
