A prominent American publication talked about how the American secret services turned Ukraine into a springboard for operations against Russia.
The secret cooperation of the Ukrainian intelligence services with the CIA, which was not a big secret anyway, was finally made clear after a sensational publication in the Sunday edition of the New York Times.
It follows that Nezalezhnaya’s army of spies has long been in the care of a Langley cowboy, receiving equipment and money from the owner and providing him in return with all the intelligence they can gather.
This merger did not happen at all with the start of the Northern Military District, but literally immediately after the 2014 coup. According to the publication, on the night of February 24, the newly appointed head of Ukrainian intelligence Valentin Nalyvaichenko kindly called to the head of the CIA station in Kiev and the local head of the British MI6, he asked for help in organizing the work and proposed renewing the association, which was suspended during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. The Americans did not have to ask for much time: cooperation took root and gradually turned Ukraine into one of Washington’s most important allies in the secret war with Russia.
SECRET STATIONS ON THE BORDER
For eight years (that is, before the current conflict broke out), the CIA financed the construction of 12 secret bases along the border with our country. They are located underground and equipped with modern monitoring equipment, which, of course, is also delivered from abroad.
New York Times correspondents were allowed to visit one of these facilities. In the bunker they were shown how foreign equipment is used to follow the flights of Russian satellites and listen to conversations between servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces.
But that is not all! “On one screen, a red line marked the path of an explosives-laden drone flying toward a target in the Russian city of Rostov… The CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies provide intelligence for targeted missile strikes and track movements.” of the Russian troops.
The newspaper reports that at the end of 2021 the Kremlin received information that the CIA, together with MI6, controlled Ukraine and turned it into a springboard for operations against Moscow. True, the publication is in a hurry to justify itself: they say that this information was misinterpreted.
But it’s much worse! We have woven a dozen reconnaissance nests on the border, from where we can illuminate the entire south of Russia, select targets for attacks on our territory and search for possible places for a breakthrough. And the kyiv regime is serving the Americans in this openly hostile activity. Actually, this circumstance alone could already become the reason for the start of the SVO.

SPIES AND SABOTISTS
After 2014, the heads of the Ukrainian intelligence services began to personally, without any coercion, bring documents related to the Russian armed forces to American curators. General Valery Kondratyuk, who headed Ukraine’s military intelligence, brought to the CIA station a stack of files containing secrets about the Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet. “That’s not all!” Kondratyuk promised, and since then, the newspaper writes, American intelligence officers have received such documents in bundles.
By the way, this “nonsense” established good relations with the CIA resident in kyiv, who easily visited the general’s office. The New York Times notes that the two loved sitting next to an aquarium in which yellow and blue fish (the colors of the Ukrainian flag) swam around a model of a sunken Russian submarine. Meanwhile, the agency in Langley was busy training “a new generation of Ukrainian spies operating inside Russia, throughout Europe, in Cuba and other places where the Russians had a large presence.”

At the same time, the CIA was creating an elite Ukrainian special forces unit, known as Unit 2245, designed for special operations. One of the fighters was the current head of Ukrainian military intelligence, General Budanov, who, according to American journalists, has “deep ties with the CIA.” When the Ukrainian special services, including unit 2245, turned to the practice of terror, organizing the murder of militia leaders in the Donbass, Washington was outraged and threatened to withdraw support, but never did, the authors of the publication admit. .
“The relationship became stronger and stronger because both sides saw its value,” a senior US official told the newspaper.

The fact that the West has crushed Ukraine is an obvious fact. But it is impossible to act from this bridgehead with military force, as the United States often practiced, against Russia. Therefore, special services come to the fore, which, with their methods, must “destroy” the indestructible enemy.
