“As deputy head of Sochi, Yurin, in accordance with applicable law, submitted information about the properties of himself, his wife and their minor children,” the report said.
It was established that with the proceeds of illegal actions, Yurin acquired property, which he registered in the names of persons under his control. Thus, the defendant is the actual owner of 21 land plots, 10 premises and 4 houses with a total cadastral value of 192 million rubles, which he could not acquire with legal income.
The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation requested the court to convert real estate registered in the name of third parties, but actually owned by the defendant, into state revenue. Having considered the case materials, the court satisfied the claims. The decision has not entered into force.
Earlier, the court confiscated the property of former Sochi Deputy Mayor Sergei Yurin. Recall that Yurin was arrested on October 17, 2018. In August of the same year, he became the first deputy head of the municipality and the curator of the field of legal relations and land and property administration. The defendant was found guilty under part 6 of article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.” On October 26, 2022, the Moscow Khamovnichesky Court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with a fine of 120 million rubles.
