Ignat Petukhov, Deputy Governor for Economic and Investment Policy of the Orenburg Region, spoke about this at a meeting of graduates of the fifth stream of the program for the development of the personnel management reserve of the Higher School of Public Administration of RANEPA with Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrated today in the Kremlin.
The winner of the Leaders of Russia contest shared his experience of participation in the program with the head of state. Thanks to the formation of the team of the young lieutenant governor, a number of projects were launched in the region, which became growth points for the economy of the Orenburg region.
– The training program was built in such a way that we put our knowledge into practice here and now, – emphasized Ignat Petukhov. – For example, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia spoke to us. Denis Manturov outlined a clear vector, after which we carried out a full audit of support measures in our region. He launched a regional Industrial Development Fund. During the year of its operation, at least 30 companies implement new productive projects. The industrial production index in May of this year was 108.1%. This is a good indicator, in many respects it was achieved thanks to the work with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The second is the digitization and analysis of big data in public administration. The Orenburg region has become one of the pilot projects where a coordination center is being created, which will allow real-time monitoring of key indicators of the region’s economy and prompt decision-making. I am sure that the stronger our regions are, the stronger the country will be. Thank you for bringing together like-minded people, people who want to make Russia better.
In response to Vladimir Putin’s question about the reasons for the growth of industrial production in the region, Ignat Petukhov explained that the region has been based on the processing of natural resources and agricultural products.

– In 2021 we have a special economic zone, in which there are already eight residents, in the future there will be thousands of jobs, – noted the Lieutenant Governor. – A milk plant, logistics centers, a liquefied natural gas production plant and three more production plants are built. Now the region’s investment portfolio includes about 70 projects worth 425 billion rubles.
The Head of State stressed that this growth was the result of concrete work.
– Ignat List: this is processing, petrochemical and other areas. This is purposeful work on investments in those areas that are promising for a particular region and give a positive result. This is not only and not so much the exploitation of natural resources. It’s great,” said the president.

At the age of 25, he won the Leaders of Russia management competition, becoming the youngest winner of the second season. The governor of the Orenburg region, Denis Pasler, drew attention to a promising manager and invited him to head the Regional Development Corporation.
Today, Ignat Petukhov is the deputy governor of the Orenburg region for economic and investment policy, the minister of economic development, investment, tourism and foreign relations. Together with him, his young colleagues at the Leaders of Russia competition work in the region: Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Orenburg Region Nikita Khilimonchik and General Director of JSC “SEZ PPT Orenburg” Anton Efimov.
