The end of summer effect reduces up to 3,053 foreign affiliates from Social Security

Foreign affiliates to Social Security fell 0.1% in October compared to September, registering an average of 3,053 fewer affiliates than the previous month. By sector, education has added the largest number of employed people (19.3%), along with construction (2.6%) and the agrarian system (2.7%), while in October there have been decreases in affiliation in the public administration ( 5.3%) and agriculture, livestock, hunting, forestry and fishing (5.8%).

Of the group, 55.7% of foreign members are men and 44.3% are women. According to origin, 32.8% of the workers come from the European Union (879,986) and the other 67.2% from third countries (1,803,951).

The most numerous groups of foreign workers are Romanians (337,762), followers of Moroccans (317,034), Italians (180,729), Colombians 171,696) and Venezuelans (145,926).

For their part, members from Ukraine added 66,002 members in October, a figure that has grown by 40%, or 18,743 more workers, compared to January 2022 when the war had not yet started.
