The main prize, a statuette of Alexander Khanzhonkov (one of the first Russian filmmakers), was awarded to the film’s director Anton Starkov and cameraman Andrei Tishin.

The film is the second of three series of the documentary project “Tribunal”, which tells about war crimes committed in Donbass by neo-Nazi and terrorist organizations banned in Russia.

Together with human rights activists led by historian Alexander Dyukov, the film crew worked in the DPR and the LPR. Documentary filmmakers filmed destroyed cities, recorded interviews with witnesses who miraculously survived and victims of the crimes of the Ukrainian regime.

The authors plan to transfer all documented materials of crimes against humanity to the next court so that justice prevails and the perpetrators suffer severe punishment.

Recall that the Front Line film festival opened in Rostov-on-Don on November 28. Journalists, volunteers and film directors from 11 countries sent their work. A total of 287 films and television shows were submitted, of which 51 were shortlisted.
