As it became known, participants in the criminal enterprise used various methods to illegally withdraw funds, including schemes for the acquisition of stablecoins on the Garantex crypto exchange, as well as the purchase and sale of precious metals in credit institutions.
The activities of the organized criminal group were repressed in St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Kostroma region, the perpetrators and organizers were detained, among the latter was the Georgian citizen Temur Psuturi.
Based on the facts of criminal activity identified and documented by FSB agents, the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in St. Petersburg opened criminal cases under Articles 159, 172, 187, 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. “The issue of the choice of the procedural status in relation to nine members of the criminal group and appropriate preventive measures is currently being decided,” the report notes.
