From 19 to 22 September, the New Star Weekend festival will be held at the Rosa Khutor resort. This year, for the first time, it received the status of an official venue for the Russian Cup in BMX freestyle cycling. At the Alfa New Star BMX Cup, the best athletes will fight for victory in the overall standings, as well as for the additional nomination for Best Trick in the jam session format.
Another competition, this time in skateboarding, will take place at Beeline Skate Plaza. For three days, 20 athletes will compete for prizes, and the winner in the final round will be chosen by public vote. Festival guests will also enjoy the traditional Party Hike – a joint walk up the mountain to a point that is over 1,600 meters above sea level. The culmination of the hike will be the Zoloto concert, and everything will start with a warm-up by Ilya Kuruch aka Dj FeniXXX.
In addition, this year more than 75 musicians will perform at New Star Weekend, including Eljay, ANIKV, Thomas Mraz, Tesla Boy, Biicla and others. Artist Sasha Frolova, together with Sila Sveta studio, is responsible for the design of the main stage, and Setup Design is responsible for the escape stage on the helipad. One of the main highlights of the program is Izhevski’s set, which will mark the start of a series of musical events for the Ruvenzori label. The guest of the concert will be South African artist Atmos Blaq, and the performance itself will take place in a new location – on top of the “Stone Pillar”.
Rosa Khutor is located just fifty kilometers from Adler Airport. You can get from the airport to the resort by taxi, Sky Bus, Lastochka or by personal transport – there are several parking lots on the territory of the Rosa Dolina resort.
