Abakumov was under house arrest until September 28. The same preventive measure was chosen for Vasily Kugut, a member of the meeting of deputies of the Millerovsky urban settlement.
Abakumov and Kugut became defendants in a criminal case for official forgery (Part 2 of Article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), initiated by the FSB in February this year. They are accused of falsifying documents by changing the city charter.
As a result, the Millerovo budget began to pay salaries to the chairman of the meeting of deputies and a number of other people’s deputies. The procedure for electing the head of the administration of an urban settlement was also changed.
