Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“It is better to face the danger than to expect it on the spot,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. He also taught: “Defeat the enemy, without sparing him or yourself, the one who has the least pity for himself wins.”
FORCED THE ENEMY TO LOWER THE GUN

“Sergeant Major of the Guard Yuriy Chebotarev, together with the squad entrusted to him as part of a rocket artillery battery, carried out the tasks of destroying weapons, military equipment and manpower of Ukrainian nationalists. Time and again, the militants tried to break through the defense of the Russian troops, using artillery and mortar fire. During the battle with the outnumbered armed formations of the nationalists, Yuri skillfully led the destruction of targets, and also carried out maneuvers, withdrawing their weapons from the return fire of the militants. During the battle, the calculation under the command of the senior sergeant of the guard, Yuri Chebotarev, launched a targeted attack on the positions of the militants, as a result of which the enemy’s mortar positions were destroyed, as well as a large number of nationalists. . The attacks made it possible for the advancing Russian units to defeat the armed formation of militants, who, realizing the futility of further resistance, threw down their weapons and retreated to their original lines.

“The deputy commander of the guard platoon, Private Alexei Melnikov, as part of his unit, carried out a combat mission to defend an important strategic line. While serving in the post, Melnikov discovered an UAV equipped with a warhead approaching Russian troop positions. Assessing the situation, the soldier used an anti-drone weapon, as a result of which the quadcopter, having lost control, fell before reaching the positions of the Russian troops. By the forces of the sappers, the improvised explosive device installed on it was defused and destroyed. The courage and professionalism of the guard soldier Melnikov made it possible to prevent an attack on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.”
RISKING LIFE CORRECTED THE FIRE
Platoon Commander Lieutenant Ramazan Abdullayev
“The platoon under the command of Lieutenant Ramazan Abdullayev carried out the task of strengthening the defensive lines of the Russian troops in the area of one of the settlements. The enemy, trying to prevent the consolidation of Russian units in this direction, opened mortar fire on Abdullayev’s platoon. Having assessed the situation, Ramazan organized the evacuation of personnel from the attack zone with enemy mortars, and he himself, risking his own life, remained in position, revealed the location of the enemy mortar teams, transmitted their coordinates to the teams artillery and continued to adjust the fire. After the enemy mortar positions were suppressed, Lieutenant Abdullayev, together with the platoon entrusted to him, completed the team for the fortification of the defensive lines. Thanks to the courage and bravery of Lieutenant Ramazan Abdullayev, the further offensive of the militants in this direction was stopped.”
