Being in an equipped shelter, Pavel directed aimed fire at the enemy, destroying the manpower and armored vehicles of the militants. The enemy repeatedly tried to drive our military out of their positions and regain control of the village by shelling the positions of Russian motorized riflemen. After another artillery strike, Zhikharev noted that several servicemen had received serious shrapnel wounds and could not independently get out of the area hit by enemy artillery. Realizing that the delay in the current situation could cost the lives of the comrades, Zhikharev, having come out of hiding, crawled to the wounded colleagues, pulled the servicemen out from under the rubble of the bench and dragged them to a safe place. Pavel provided them with the necessary first aid, after which, after reporting the wounded over the radio station, he handed them over to the arriving medical personnel for further evacuation. Then Private Pavel Zhikharev returned to his position and continued the combat mission. As a result of the battle, the attack of the nationalists was repelled.
