“The unit, in which Junior Sergeant Alexander Klovanich was acting, carried out a redeployment as part of a column. Advancing along the indicated route, on the way to the combat mission zone, the column approached the forest plantation. Junior sergeant Klovanich noticed the movement of the enemy in the forest belt. Assessing the situation, Alexander immediately informed the commander of him and was the first to open fire on the enemy. The enemy, realizing that he had been discovered, opened fire on our column. Quickly orienting himself in the situation, effectively taking advantage of the terrain features, Junior Sergeant Klovanich, together with his subordinates, stopped the enemy’s actions with aimed fire. During the battle, Alexander was wounded, but despite this he continued to fight. As a result of the decisive actions of Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Kolovanich and his subordinates, the Ukrainian militants suffered losses in personnel and retreated.

“The commander of the communications platoon, Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Pogorelov, together with the platoon entrusted to him, provided stable communications within the battalion tactical group of Russian troops.
Attacking in the area of one of the settlements controlled by Ukrainian fighters, the BTG came under enemy fire, as a result of which the commander of one of the mortar teams was seriously wounded and was unable to continue the battle. Pogorelov, without losing his composure, immediately assumed command of the mortar crew. Setting a personal example to his subordinates, having shown courage and firmness, he did not allow the staff to panic. The team under the command of Pogorelov suppressed the firing points and manpower of the enemy, thereby ensuring the consolidation of the main forces of the group on the given lines. During the confrontation, the unit under the command of Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Pogorelov destroyed a large number of enemy troops and captured a vehicle in which were documents containing information on the number of troops and the location of the enemy checkpoint in the area. .
