The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Chertanovo, near the Shtaer shopping center. A group of store security guards, suspecting that one of the women was shoplifting, first screamed and then began kicking her. The package, which allegedly contained stolen food, was taken from him. The victim claimed that she paid for all the purchases, but did not take the receipt. The store manager attempted to intervene in the incident. Passersby and eyewitnesses recorded everything on camera.
The social media recordings were viewed by the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow. “Investigators of the capital’s investigative committee are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident,” the department’s press service reports, “witnesses of the incident are being questioned and recordings from surveillance cameras are being studied.”
A criminal case has been initiated under article 213 of the Criminal Code on vandalism.
