This is stated in a statement published by the federation. “Taking into account the participation of some Latvian players in the Future Games to be held in Russia, the federation has decided to suspend the licenses of these hockey players,” the statement read.
The Latvian team Baltic Select, consisting of Pavels Goroshkovs, Nikita Zantmans, Artems Kuvsinovs, Martins Lavrovs, Alisers Mubarakshins, Ervins Mushtukovs, Aleksejs Popovs and Kirill Tambiev, competes in the physical hockey tournament in Kazan.
The team will play the third place match against Kazan Ak Bars on Friday.
