According to him, the assault detachments of the 42nd, 63rd and 67th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to carry out the offensive. However, his plans were thwarted by Russian air and artillery attacks. The enemy’s losses amounted to about 60 servicemen, Savchuk added.
He also pointed out that the Ukrainian army was missing an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored car and two pickup trucks. The Lancet loitering munition destroyed the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system and the Furiya drone was shot down by air defense means.
“During the counter-battery combat, about 20 artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were opened and eliminated. One Msta-B howitzer and one 120-mm mortar were destroyed,” added the head of the press center.
The day before, it was reported that Russian Armed Forces artillerymen carried out a fire attack on the deployment point of Ukrainian forces in the Kleshcheevka area of the DPR. During the fighting the enemy lost two infantry fighting vehicles.
