According to him, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were going to use the opornik as a springboard for a new offensive. “After the first break, it became clear to them that they had been discovered, that the shooting had started. And yes, they were ‘caught’ when they were making a withdrawal,” said the interlocutor of the agency.
He explained that Russian intelligence officers and drone operators had identified the group.
“Usually they go in groups of three or four people, sometimes two by two, but here there were ten people at a time,” the soldier said, suggesting that the group also included mine-clearing sappers.
