It should be noted that the share of natural rubber from Asian countries in the production of passenger car tires is approximately 5%. In addition, a 30% increase in the price of natural rubber causes a tire cost increase of only 1.5%.
As for domestic tires, the increase in the exchange rate of foreign currencies does not significantly affect their price, since raw materials are purchased mainly in rubles, and the share of foreign components in the cost does not exceed 5%.
The ministry also clarifies that winter tires are manufactured in summer and that now their production is almost finished.
